Billing dispute benchmarks · Waitlist
Billing dispute outcomes, by code and state.
Under the No Surprises Act, out-of-network payment disputes go to federal independent dispute resolution, and CMS publishes the results. We're deciding whether to turn them into benchmarks you can query. Tell us what you need.

What we'd build
- Outcomes of federal IDR disputes from CMS's public files: who prevailed and the offers, by service code, state and specialty
- Simple summaries per code and region, each tied to the public files and dates it came from
- The same envelope, versioning and MCP tools as every other healthcare.dev dataset
Who asks for it
- Preparing or reviewing an IDR submission
- Out-of-network payment analysis
- Agents that explain how similar disputes went
- This data is not built yet, and we don't have a launch date. We're measuring interest before we build it.
- Benchmarks would come only from public government data, never from claims.
- Reference data, not legal or billing advice. Never send us patient information.

Priced like everything else
If we build it, it won't have a separate charge: calls count against your plan like every other dataset.
